Elder Teh's Mission Tour

Elder Michael John U. Teh of the 1st Quorum of the Seventy visited The Philippines Cagayan de Oro Mission last June 14-16, 2011 with his wife, Sister Grace Teh. His tour consisted of travelling to 3 major cities of the mission.

1st stop - Ozamiz city. There, we were joined by the Dipolog Zone, Oroquieta Zone and Ozamiz zone thus making the Multi - West Zone.

Next stop - Iligan City. We were joined by the Pagadian Zone, CDO West Zone and Iligan Zone. Making up the Multi - Mid Zone.

Last stop - Cagayan de Oro City. The largest group of the three. The Multi - East Zone comprises of Malaybalay Zone, Balingasag Zone, CDO East Zone and CDO Central Zone.
Elder Teh shared his experiences as a missionary. He taught about the role of the Holy Ghost in learning the gospel of Jesus Christ and also its role in missionary work. He emphasized the importance of obedience and how small and simple acts of disobedience may lead to something more serious. He also told the missionaries to "...remember that fire, that burning desire that you had when you first left home and entered the MTC. Then live on that throughout your mission life." To the mission leaders, he shared the parable of the shepherd and the hireling and how every leader should be a shepherd to their flock (missionaries). Elder and Sister Teh's warm greetings, sweet smiles and love rejuvenated the missionaries. Indeed, everyone returned to their respective areas with their minds enlightened and their souls edified because of this great man of God.
